Dua n°21

The dua in Arabic:

(يَبْدَأُ بِرِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى) [1] وَ يَقُولُ : (بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ الصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ، اللهم إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ، اللهم اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ) [2] .

The invocation in english:

« (Exit with your left foot and say:) [1] « In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your favor. O Allah, guard me from the accursed devil. » [2]

The dhikr in phonetics:

Bismillâhi, wa s-salâtou wa s-salâmou 'alâ rasoûli l-lâhi. Allâhoumma innî as alouka min fadlika. Allâhoumma 'simnî mina sh-shaytani r-rajîm.

Source : [1] Al-Hakim (1/218), al-Bayhaqi (2/442) and al-Albani declared it hassan in Silsilah al-Ahadith as-Sahihah (#2478, 5/624). [2] Voir takhrij of the previous hadith (dou'a #20) and the extension (اللهم اعصمني من الشيطان الرجيم) is from Ibn Majah (#773), voir Sahih Ibn Majah (1/129).
