Dua n°99

The dua in Arabic:

﴿قُل هُوَ اللهُ أحَدٌ...﴾
﴿قُلْ أعُوذُ بِرَبِّ اْلفَلَقِ...﴾
﴿قُلْ أعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ...﴾
[ثلاث مرات]

The invocation in english:

When retiring to his bed every night, the Prophet (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) would hold his palms together, (dry) spit in them, recite the last 3 chapters of the Qurʾan and then wipe over his entire body as much as possible with his hands, beginning with his head and face and then all parts of the body; he would do this 3 times.

The dhikr in phonetics:

Bismillâhi r-rahmâni r-rahîmi.
qoul houwa l-lâhou ahad. Allâhou s-samad, Lam yalid wa lam yûlad, wa lam yakoun lahou koufouan ahad.

Bismillâhi r-rahmâni r-rahîmi.
qoul a'oûdhou bi-rabbi-l-falaq, min sharri mâ khalaq, wa min sharri ghâsiqin idhâ waqab, wa min sharri n-naffâthâti fî-l-'ouqad, wa min sharri hâsidin idhâ hasad.

Bismillâhi r-rahmâni r-rahîmi.
qoul a'oûdhou bi-rabbi n-nâs, maliki n-nâs, ilâhi n-nâs, min sharri-l-waswâsi-l-khannâs, al-ladhî youwaswisou fî soudouri n-nâs, mina-l-jinnati wa n-nâs.

Dua n°100

The dua in Arabic:

﴿اللهُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا هُوَ الحَيُّ القَيُّومُ... ﴾

The invocation in english:

The Prophet (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) also said: « When you are about to sleep, recit ayah al-Kursi, for there will remain over you a protection from Allah and no devil will draw near you until morning. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhou lâ ilâha illâ houwa-l-hayyou-l-qayyûm. Lâ ta khoudhouhou sinatoun wa lâ nawm, lahou mâ fî s-samâwâti wa mâ fî-l-ard. Man dhâ l-ladhî yashfa'ou 'indahou illâ bi-idhnihi. Ya'lamou mâ bayna aydîhim wa mâ khalfahoum. Wa lâ youhîtûna bi-shay in min 'ilmihi illâ bi-mâ shâ a. Wasi'a koursiyyouhou s-samâwâti wa-l-ard. Wa lâ ya ûdouhou hifzuhoumâ, wa houwa-l-'aliyyou-l-'azîm.

Dua n°101

The dua in Arabic:

﴿ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ﴿٢٨٥﴾لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًۭا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ﴾

The invocation in english:

« The Prophet (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) also said: « Whoever recites the last 2 verses of Surah al-Baqarah at night; those 2 verses shall be sufficient for him. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

amana r-rassulou bima unzila ilayhi mi-rabbihi wa al-mou uminun koulloun amana billahi wa mala ikatihi wa koutoubihi wa rouSoulih, la noufarriqou bayna aĥadin mi-rousSoulih wa qalu sami'na wa aţa'na ghoufranaka rabbana wa ilayka al-maşir. La youkallifou allahou nafsan illa wus'aha, laha ma kasabat wa 'alayha mak tassabat. Rabbana la tou akhidhna in nassina aw akhta'na. Rabbana wa la taĥmil 'alayna isran kama hamaltahou 'alá l-ladhina min qablina. Rabbana wa la touĥammilna ma la taqata lana bihi wa'fou 'anna waghfir lana war hamna anta mawlana fanşurna 'alá al-qawmi l-lafirin.

Dua n°102

The dua in Arabic:

بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

The invocation in english:

« If one of you rises from his bed and then returns to it he should dust it with the edge of his garment 3 times for he does not know what has occurred in his absence and when he lies down he should supplicate: « In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants. » »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Bismika rabbî wada'tou janbî wa bika arfa'ouhou. Fa-in amsakta nafsî fa-rhamhâ, wa in arsaltahâ fa-hfazhâ bi-mâ tahfazu bihi 'ibâdaka s-sâlihîn.

Dua n°103

The dua in Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ خَلَقْتَ نَفْسي وَأَنْتَ تَوَفَّاهـَا، لَكَ مَمَاتُهَا وَمَحْيَاهَا، إِنْ أَحْيَيْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّهَا فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّي أَسْألُكَ العَافِيَةَ

The invocation in english:

« O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take its life, to You belongs its life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant my good health. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhoumma innaka khalaqta nafsî wa anta tawaffâhâ. Laka mamâtouhâ wa mahyâhâ. In ahyaytahâ fa-hfazha, wa in amattahâ fa--ghfirlahâ. Allâhoumma inni as alouka-l-'âfiyata.

Dua n°104

The dua in Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذابَكَ، يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ (ثلاثاً)

The invocation in english:

« O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhoumma qinî 'adhâbaka yawma tab'athou 'ibâdaka.

Dua n°105

The dua in Arabic:

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَموتُ وَأحْيَا

The invocation in english:

« In Your name O Allah, I live and die. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Bismika l-lâhoumma amûtou wa ahyâ.

Dua n°106

The dua in Arabic:

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ (ثَلاثاً وثَلاثِينَ)
وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (ثَلاثاً وثَلاثِينَ)
وَاللهُ أكْبرُ (أربَعاً وثَلاثِينَ)

The invocation in english:

« How Perfect is Allah [33 times].
All praise is for Allah [33 times].
Allah is the Greatest [34 times]. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Soubhâna l-lâh (33 times), al-hamdoulillâh (33 times), allâhou akbar (34 times)

The dua in Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ، وَرَبَّ الأرْضِ، وربَّ العَرْشِ العَظِيمِ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيءٍ، فَالِقَ الحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى، وَمُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالإنْجِيْلِ و الفُرْقَانِ، أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيتِهِ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الأوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيءٌ، اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ، وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الفَقْرِ

The invocation in english:

« O Allah, Lord of the 7 heavens and the exalted throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, Splitter of the seed and the date stone, Revealer of the Tawrah, the Injil and the Furqan, I take refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock. O Allah, You are The First so there is nothing before You and You are The Last so there is nothing after You. You are al-Ẓahir so there is nothing above You and You are al-Baṭin so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhoumma rabba s-samâwâti s-sab'i wa rabba-l-'arshi-l-'azîmi ! Rabbanâ wa rabba koulli shay in ! Fâliqa-l-habbi wa n-nawâ wa mounzila t-tawrâti wa-l-injîli wa-l-fourqâni.
A'oûdhou bika min sharri koulli shay in anta âkhidhoun bi-nâsiyatihi. Allâhoumma anta-l-awwalou fa-laysa qablaka shay un. Wa anta-l-âkhirou fa-laysa ba'daka shay un.
Wa anta-z-zâhirou fa-laysa fawqaka shay un. Wa anta-l-bâtinou fa-laysa dounaka shay un. Iqdi 'annâ d-dayna wa aghninâ mina-l-faqri.

Dua n°108

The dua in Arabic:

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا، وَكَفَانَا، وَآوَانَا، فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لَا كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلَا مُؤْوِيَ

The invocation in english:

« All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Al hamdou li-l-lâhi l-lâdhi at'amanâ, wa saqânâ, wa kafânâ, wa âwânâ. Fa-kam mimman lâ kâfiya lahou wa lâ mou wî.

Dua n°109

The dua in Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ عالِمَ الغَيْبِ وَالشّهَادَةِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ، رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلَيْكَهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن شَرِّ نَفْسِي، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى نَفْسِي سُوءاً، أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ

The invocation in english:

« O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhoumma 'âlim-alghaybi wa sh-shahâdati, fâtira s-samâwâti wa-l ardi,
rabba koulli shay in wa malîkahou. Ash-hadou anlâ ilâha illâ anta.
A'oûdhou bika min sharrin nafsî, wa min sharri sh-shaytâni wa 'hirkihi,
wa an aqtarifa 'alâ nafsî soû an ajourrahou ilâ Muslim(in).

Reminder n°110

The reminder in Arabic:

يَقْرَاُ ﴿ألم﴾ تَنْزِيْلَ السَّجْدَةِ، وَ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ المُلْكَ

Recite Surah as-Sajdah and Surah al-Mulk.

The dua in Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ

The invocation in english:

« O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Allâhoumma aslamtou nafsî ilayka, wa fawwadtou amrpi ilayka, wa wajjahtou wajhî ilayka, wa alja tou zahrî ilayka. Raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayka. Âmantou bi-kitâbika l-ladhî anzalta wa bi-nabiyyika l-ladhî arsalta.
